The Apostolic Nunciature in China (Embassy of the Holy See) announces that His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI has nominated the Rt. Rev. Monsignor Ambrose Madtha, Charg眤 d’Affaires, a.i. as Apostolic Nuncio (Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary) to the Republic of C𦆭te d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast in West Africa). At the same time the Pope has elevated him to the dignity of Archbishop.

His successor Rev. Monsignor Paul Fitzpatrick Russell (born in U.S.A.) who is presently serving in the Apostolic Nunciature in Nigeria will be arriving soon.

二零零八年五月八日教廷駐華大使館今日正式宣佈，教宗本篤十六世任命安博思代辦為教廷駐象牙海岸大使；同時，教宗擢升他為總主教。
目前服務於教廷駐奈及利亞大使館之美國籍Paul Fitzpatrick Russell蒙席接任為教廷駐華大使館代辦，將於近期到任。
