He studied philosophy
in the Regional Seminary of St. Joseph in Chiughsien (1944-46) and in the
Jesuitsˇ¦ philosophical institute in Manila (1941-51).
ˇ´ He completed his theological studies at Bellarmine College in Baguio in the Philippines (1952-56).
ˇ´ He undertook studies for a doctorate in spiritual theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome (1959-61).
Director of the Chinese Section of Sacred Heart School in Cebu City in the
Philippines and worked there from 1957-59.
