Almighty and eternal God, you are the source of all creation. We ask you to grant us a renewed life, a life filled with your Spirit and our hearts fixed in You, we ask this through Christ, Our Lord.
Response: Amen

First reading: Exodus 12:1-5, 14

Responsorial Psalm:
Response: Lord, our God, renew the face of the earth.

Lord, with one breath, all creation took its form and you renew the face of the earth.

Grant us a renewed heart and let your spirit fill our whole being.

You have set the bright day from dark night, you have separated the days from the nights. You have marked the limits of the earth and set the four seasons of each year.

May the Lord grant us abundant blessings with the produce of the earth, and may the four corners of the earth adore God.

Or
First Reading: Genesis 1:14-18

Responsorial Psalm: (Ps. 8)
Response: Lord, your name is great in all the earth.

I look up at your heavens, shaped by your fingers, at the moon and the stars you set firm;
What are human beings that you spare a thought for them, or the child of Adam that you care for him?

You have made man little less than a god, you have crowned him with glory and beauty, made him lord of the works of your hands, put all things under his feet,

All the sheep and cows all of them, and even the wild beasts, birds in the sky, fish in the sea, when he makes his way across the ocean.

Alleluia
You should always rejoice in the Lord, and I say it again, always rejoice in the Lord.

Or:
The Lord, our God, be praised, because all the heavens and the earth are his.

Second Reading: Ephesians 1:3-14

Gospel: Matthew 6: 31-34
