The Cicm missionary presence in Taiwan started in 1954. from a small group it grew to a more significant number of confreres, many of whom had been expelled from Mainland China by the communists.
　
Today after five decades of missionary work in Taiwan the Cicm presence on the island has been reduced to a small but significant presence: all together 12  priests.
